Christina Wobbe Cause of Death: Syracuse University VPA first-year student, Christina “Elise” Wobbe dies unexpectedly

In a campus-wide email sent Friday evening, university officials announced the recent passing of Christina “Elise” Wobbe, a freshman in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University.

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Elise was pursuing a degree in musical theater, according to Allen Groves, SU’s Senior Vice President and Chief Student Experience Officer.

In his message, Groves extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of Chancellor Kent Syverud, Vice Chancellor and Provost Lois Agnew, VPA Dean Michael Tick, and the entire Orange community to Elise’s family, friends, and loved ones both on campus and at home.

Faculty and staff can receive round-the-clock assistance via Carebridge at (800) 437-0911, while Hendricks Chapel provides support services to all members of the SU community at (315) 443-2901.
